I renewed the spongy rod, oiled the K-sarriage, the machine does not pick up the pattern needles (D) when i turn KC key. I`ve watched countless videos "Ask Jack" i`ve used some on my machine, and for some i don`t have enough knowledge to disassemble the machine, every thing i`ve done doesn`t help to fix the error.

According to your profile, you also have a kh840. The punched card mechanism is the same for the 892 and the 840.
Why don't you try the 840 carriage on the 892? What happens to the needle selection if you try exactly the same thing with the 840 carriage as with the 892?
Does anything change?

I tried the k carriage from kh 840 to kh 892 over 24 pins , and the same thing happened, only the end pins went to D position.
I printed out the manual "Service manual for knitting machine and ribbing attachment" Brother model kh-864, kh -894
and now i`m trying to find the cause of the error.

All right, the edge needles are generated by the carriage, the rest by the pattern unit. You will have to disassemble the machine and look for the pattern unit. This is not as difficult as it sounds.
Too much oil can sometimes be rather negative. But you need to see the pattern unit to be clear about this.

Hello everyone!
Rebuilt the rail for holding the needles. Dismantled the punched card mechanism as in the video "ASK Jack". I used Ballistol oil to dissolve impurities, there were a lot of rubbery accumulations. It seems I succeeded. My machine raises the needles to the D position using the KC button. The test of the punched card mechanism without wool was successful and the test with the punched card was successful. Thank you all, especially Petra, who helped me with great patience despite the language problem. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Ich liebe die Brother Strickmaschinen mit Lochkarten und freue mich über jede Maschine, die wieder aus ihrem Dornröschenschlaf erweckt werden kann.
Richtige Service Expertise habe ich aber nicht, aber wenn man sich einmal die Maschine im Inneren genau anschaut und nichts zerbrochen ist, dann sieht man auch schnell, dass wird schon wieder (irgendwie).
Dank Dir liebe Donatella und Deiner Rückmeldung, bin ich heute mit deiner Fehlermeldung, wieder etwas schlauer geworden.
Und Dank Chris (Alias "Dreckspatz" Problem, vor einiger Zeit. Kann ich jetzt zwei Fehlersymtome zuordnen.

I love the Brother knitting machines with punch cards and am happy about every machine that can be awakened from its slumber.
I don't have any real service expertise, but if you take a close look at the inside of the machine and nothing is broken, then you'll quickly see that it'll work out again (somehow).
