Die neue Frühling-Sommer-Ausgabe finde ich nicht schlecht. Es ist nichts dabei, was ich unbedingt sofort stricken wollen würde, aber durchaus einiges Inspirierende. Interessant finde ich das gehäufte Auftreten von Pullis im Empire-Stil. “Emmaline” könnte mir gefallen, wenn das Strickbild nicht so grob wäre. “La Gitana” hat für meinen Geschmack einen zu hohen Halsausschnitt, ist aber ansonsten recht hübsch. “Que Sera” und “Tappan Zee” sind nett, “Inamorata” gefällt mir auch, allerdings würde ich etwas drunter tragen. An “Petrie” mag ich die schlichten Linien. Der Halsausschnitt sieht allerdings aus, als würde er überhaupt nicht gut sitzen. “Summit” ist ein Muster, das u.a. in John Allens “Treasury of Machine Knitting Stitches” beschrieben ist.
Über die restlichen Modelle erlaube ich mir kein Urteil, weil ich dergleichen eher nicht stricke. 😉
I think the new spring-summer issue is quite nice. There is nothing in it which I immediately feel the urge to knit, but there are definitely some inspiring ideas. The increased occurrence of empire waistlines is interesting. I would like “Emmaline” if the knitting were not that coarse. “La Gitana” has too tight a neckline for my taste, but otherwise is quite pretty. “Que Sera” and “Tappan Zee” are nice, I also like “Inamorata”, but would wear it over a plain shirt or blouse. With “Petrie” I like the simple lines. The neckline, however, looks as if it does not fit at all. “Summit” shows a pattern that, amongst others, is explained in John Allen’s “Treasury of Machine Knitting Stitches”.
I won’t judge the remaining items because I do not knit such things. 😉
