Neulich erreichte mich eine Anfrage, wie man denn bei einem Wickelanschlag am Doppelbett den Kamm einhängt; es sei doch gar kein Platz vorhanden, und man würde die Maschen von den Nadeln schieben.
Doch, es ist Platz vorhanden, vor allem, wenn man das Doppelbett um eine halbe Stufe absenkt:
Nun schiebt man den Kamm nicht genau zwischen die Nadelbetten, sondern dorthin, wo die Lücken sind, also ein wenig nach vorn:
Zwischen je zwei Maschen am vorderen Nadelbett ist bequem Platz für zwei Kammspitzen. Die Maschen des hinteren Nadelbetts werden gar nicht berührt.
Recently I was asked how to insert the comb after working a double bed e-wrap: There’s not enough room, I was told, and the stitches are pushed off the needles. Well, there is enough room between the beds, particularly if you lower the front bed a bit, see first image.
Now push the comb up, but not exactly between the beds. Tilt it a bit to the front, where the larger gaps are, see second image.
Between two stitches each at the front bed, there’s enough room for two comb points. The stitches at the back bed are not touched at all.
