Zum gestrigen Mädels-Filmabend nahm ich die frisch gestrickte Mütze “Arbacia” (Design: Woolly Wormhead) mit, um sie auf einem hübschen Kopf zu fotografieren. Und die Kollegin, die sich zur Verfügung stellte, verliebte sich sofort in diese Mütze. Zu allem Überfluss sah sie auch noch prima damit aus. Da blieb mir ja nichts anderes übrig, als ihr die Mütze zu überlassen. 🙂
Zum Glück kann man diesen Entwurf mit der Maschine stricken, und das geht auch noch relativ schnell. Drei Abende habe ich gebraucht, zwei fürs Stricken und einen fürs Zusammennähen im Maschenstich. Das war übrigens gar nicht so einfach, weil man es hier gleichzeitig mit Lochmuster und verkürzten Reihen zu tun hat. Das Garn fürs nächste Exemplar liegt schon bereit.
When I went to our chick flick yesterday, I took the brandnew “Arbacia” tam (design: Woolly Wormhead) with me to take a photo on a pretty girl’s head. And the colleague who was kind enough to pose immediately fell in love with this hat. On top of that, she looked wonderful with it. So I had no chance but to give it to her. 🙂
Luckily, this design can be made on the knitting machine, and it is rather quickly done. It took me three nights, two for the knitting and one for the sewing in kitchener stitch. By the way, the sewing was not that easy because of lace patterning and short rows at the same time.
The yarn for the next hat is already prepared.
