Zur Zeit wurschtele ich an mehreren Handstrickprojekten herum, die alle mit relativ kleiner Nadelstärke gestrickt werden, und zusammen mit weniger freier Zeit als bisher ergibt das wenig bis gar keinen Fortschritt.
Eines der in Arbeit befindlichen Strickstücke ist “Jasmine” von Kim Hargreaves, an dem ich allerdings einiges ändere. Das Material ist Wollmeise 100% Merino in den Farben “Herzblut” (der untere, einfarbige Teil) und WD “Baba Jaga”. Die glatt-rechts-Teile sind auf der Maschine gestrickt, sonst wäre ich noch nicht so weit. Die Passe stricke ich in einem Stück in Reihen. Dafür habe ich alle Abnahmen neu berechnet und mir eine Liste gemacht, in welchen Reihen an welcher Stelle Maschen abgenommen werden müssen. Anstatt der kleinen Lochreihe, mit der die Knopfblende begrenzt wird, stricke ich eine Hebemasche. Wenn ich dann bei den verkürzten Reihen fürs Vorderteil angekommen bin (was in ungefähr 20 Reihen der Fall sein wird, also nicht vor dem kommenden Wochenende), dann wird’s noch mal kompliziert, und ich muss mir rechtzeitig überlegen, wie ich das dann mache. Hoffentlich reicht das Garn.
Currently I’m plodding my way through several handknit projects, all of them with small needle sizes, and combined with less free time than before this results in hardly any or no progress at all.
One of my works in progress is “Jasmine” by Kim Hargreaves. I’m doing several modifications here. The yarn is Wollmeise 100% Merino in colours “Herzblut” (the lower, solid part) and WD “Baba Jaga”. The plain knit part is done on my knitting machine, otherwise I would not have achieved that much. As I’m doing the yoke in one piece, I had to recalculate all raglan decreases, and to avoid confusion I made myself a neat list, numbering the rows and stating when to increase where. Instead of the small lace holes next to the button bands, I’m working slip stitches. As soon as I reach the short row part of the front (in about 20 rows, probably not before next weekend), it will get a bit more complicated, and I’ll have to think hard how to continue. I hope I’ve got enough yarn.
