Der erste Ärmel von “Vivian” nähert sich allmählich seinem Ende. Da ich in der letzten Zeit vieles andere um die Ohren hatte, ging es nur langsam voran. Hinzu kam eine gewisse Unentschlossenheit, weil ich mir nicht sicher war, ob der Ärmel gut passen würde. Er ist designbedingt sehr lang und dazu sehr schmal. Nachdem ich ihn gestern zu einer Art letzten Anprobe auf eine Rundstricknadel genommen hatte, zeigte sich jedoch, dass es gerade so eben hinkommen wird. Ein wenig lang, ein wenig eng, aber mit etwas Glück zieht es sich beim Tragen zurecht. Und aussehen tut’s allemal gut. Das Bild zeigt übrigens nur den unteren Teil des Ärmels.
The first sleeve of “Vivian” is nearing completion. As I had a lot of other things to do these days, my progress was slow. In addition to that I was not very determined because I was not sure about the fit. The sleeve is by design very long and also very narrow. But after taking it onto a circular needle for an ultimate try-on yesterday, it looked quite promising. A bit long, a bit tight, yes, but with a little bit of luck it will adjust itself in wear. And the look is fabulous. By the way, the image only shows the cuff and lower part of the sleeve.
