Zugegeben, ich bin eine altmodische Blogleserin. Ich verwende keine der aktuellen Feedreader-Software, sondern klicke mich von Hand per Browser (ich bin Opera-Fan) von einem Blog zum anderen durch, wenn die Links mir interessant erscheinen.
Gerade dabei stelle ich oft frustriert fest, dass viele der Links, die in den Strickblogs angeboten werden, ins Leere führen. Anscheinend legen viele Bloggerinnen zwar zu Anfang ihrer Blog-Karriere Links zu sämtlichen ihrer Strickbekanntschaften, jedoch wird danach kaum je geprüft, ob diese Links überhaupt noch funktionieren.
Deshalb möchte ich allen meinen Leserinnen, die selbst ein Strickblog haben, einfach mal einen vorsorglichen Link-Frühjahrsputz nahelegen. Schaut doch mal Eure teils wirklich imposanten Linklisten durch und prüft, ob sich hinter jedem Link tatsächlich noch ein Blog mit aktuellen Einträgen befindet. Ich bin wahrscheinlich nicht die einzige, die Eure Mühe zu schätzen weiß.

Admittedly, I’m an oldfashioned blog reader. I do not use any of the newest feed reader software, but keep clicking myself per browser (I’m a fan of Opera) from one blog to the next, if the links look promising.
It’s frustrating to find that many of the links offered are dead. It seems that at the beginning of their blogging career, bloggers set links to as many of their online acquaintances as possible, but later on they never ever check if these links are still working.
So I would like to suggest a special spring cleaning to my fellow knitting bloggers: Simply check your (sometimes really impressive) link lists and look whether each link is still leading to a blog with recent entries. I will probably not be the only one who will appreciate your efforts.

Fertig gestrickt, zusammengenäht, gewaschen und bereits getragen ist meine Interpretation des Modells 9 aus dem Sabrina-Februarheft.
Anstelle des Originalgarns (Austermann “Bambou Soft”) nahm ich Noro Cash Iroha. Die Leibteile sind von Hand gestrickt, die Ärmel auf dem Grobstricker. In meiner Version habe sie eine richtige Armkugel und sind auch etwas länger, sie reichen mir bis auf den Handrücken. Der Pulli ist schön weich und sehr bequem und wird sicherlich eines meiner Lieblingsstücke.

Knitting completed, sewn together, washed and already worn is my interpretation of pattern 9 in the Sabrina February issue.
Instead of the original yarn (Austermann “Bambou Soft”) I chose Noro Cash Iroha. The body pieces are hand knitted, the sleeves were made on the chunky knitting machine. My version has proper cap sleeves, which are slightly longer so they cover half of my hand. The sweater is very soft and comfortable and will probably be one of my favorite garments.

Dieser Pullover ist im “Sabrina”-Februarheft (Modell 9). Und als ich neulich mal bei Strickulli vorbeisurfte, sah ich, dass sie auch gerade daran strickt. Allerdings ist sie schon weiter damit als ich. Ich stricke immer noch am Rückenteil. Zuvor habe ich allerdings den Schnitt etwas nach meinem Geschmack abgeändert.
Mein Modell beginnt mit 3 Reihen kraus rechts über 95 Maschen; erst in der ersten richtigen Musterreihe werden die Linksmaschen zugenommen, die für das Muster benötigt werden. Dadurch rollt sich am Rand nichts ein. Außerdem habe ich Ärmel mit Armkugel anstelle der gerade angesetzten Ärmel vorgesehen. Die Ärmel sind übrigens schon fertig, sie sind im Rippenmuster (3 recht, 3 links) mit dem Grobstricker gestrickt.
Im Original soll der Pullover einen V-Ausschnitt vorn und hinten haben, aber ich befürchte, dass das der Passform nicht gut tun wird. Deshalb bekommt meine Version nur vorn den V-Ausschnitt und das Rückenteil einen flachen runden Ausschnitt.
Und zu guter Letzt habe ich natürlich auch ganz anderes Garn verwendet. Ich stricke mit Noro Cash Iroha in Rot, weil ich davon zufällig eine passende Menge in meinem Vorrat habe.

This sweater was published in the “Sabrina” February issue (pattern 9). And when I paid a visit to Strickulli’s weblog, I saw that she works on it, too. However, she’s much quicker than I am, I’m still stuck with the back.
Before I started, I tweaked the pattern to my personal liking. My version starts with 3 rows of garter stitch, after this the purl stitches for the pattern are increased. This way, the lower border won’t curl.
In addition to this, I wanted sleeves with a sleeve cap. They are already finished in rib pattern (knit 3, purl 3) on the chunky knitting machine.
The original sweater was to have v-necklines in front and back, but I am afraid that this will not contribute to a good fit. So my version will only get a v-neck in the front and a shallow round neck in the back.
And lastly, I’m using a different yarn. I knit with Noro Cash Iroha in red, because I happen to have a suitable amount of it in my stash.

Hier ist auf mehrfachen Wunsch einer einzelnen Dame ein Bild meines Möbius-Kapuzenschals, wie er getragen aussieht. 😉 Er sitzt sehr bequem, und das Material ist angenehm weich.

The multiple wishes of a single lady are my command; here’s a picture of my Moebius hood-scarf showing it worn. 😉 It fits very comfortably, and the yarn is soft and lovely.

Hier kommt noch der Nachtrag zum Reste-Patchwork-Pullover.
Er hat, wie ich es mir schon überlegt hatte, Ärmel bekommen, die glatt rechts und einfarbig gestrickt sind, und das hat ihm gutgetan. Es gibt dem ansonsten recht wilden Design einen ruhigen Rahmen. In der Zwischenzeit habe ich ihn auch schon getragen und bin mit dem Aussehen und der Passform zufrieden.

Here’s the addendum on my oddments patchwork sweater. I had thought of adding plain sleeves and have done so. It proved a good idea, giving the rather wild design a quieting frame. Meanwhile I’ve worn the sweater and I’m quite content with its look and fit.
